EVENTS AND ENTERTAINMENT DIRECTOR
Job purpose
The Event and Entertainment Director is responsible for the efficient and effective operation of the Events department. This role involves planning, developing, and implementing the company’s marketing, branding, and events strategies, as well as marketing communications. The Director oversees both in-house efforts and collaborations with external agencies to ensure successful execution of all events and promotional activities.
Key responsibilities include managing the events team, coordinating with other departments, and ensuring that all events align with the company’s brand image and strategic goals.
Duties and responsibilities
Ensure Compliance to Rules and Regulations
- Ensures compliance with all NagaWorld’s standards or relavant industry standards during all aspects of work
- Ensures all employees adherence to NagaWorld’s Code of Conduct, Internal Rules, and Regulations at all times
General Job Functions
- Designs and delivers events that meet the quality goal of NagaWorld as the top entertainment destination in Indochina
- Maintains and develops the brand image of NagaWorld
- Oversees the company’s marketing efforts across all platforms and is responsible for planning, implementing, and executing marketing plans
- Engages, vets, contracts with, builds and maintains working relationships with, and instructs external PR, event, marketing, and branding agencies to support all areas of department work
- Ensures appropriate staffing consistent with needs and within the constraints of the organization’s physical and financial resources; recruits, selects, orients, and develops staff to meet standard performance
- Plans, organizes, directs, and coordinates the Events department’s work plan; assigns projects and programmatic responsibilities; reviews and evaluates work methods and procedures; meets with staff to identify and resolve problems
- Oversees the design, implementation, and maintenance of event platforms for delivering NagaWorld’s main business objectives and programmatic content in a way that is accessible, cost-effective, and consistent with the organization’s mission, policies, and standards
- Maintains strong internal and external communications with all events stakeholders
- Any other tasks assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising/Media, Art/Design/Creative Multimedia, Mass Communications, Music/Performing Arts Studies, Hospitality/Tourism/Hotel Management, or equivalent education required
- Minimum 15 years of experience in conference/event planning, demonstrating increasing responsibility and successful execution of mission-driven events, as well as strong collaboration skills and innovative programming. This experience includes working with or for brand or marketing agencies. Experience with integrated resorts is preferred.
- Proficiency in leadership and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PPT, Word, and Outlook
- English and Mandarin Language Proficiency
Working conditions
This position may require extended working hours and may include evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
