FINANCE MANAGER
Job purpose
The Finance Manager is responsible for preparing monthly management reports and various analytical reports for companies within the group. They manage the initial response to audit queries from external and internal auditors, ensuring accurate booking and accrual of expenses and liabilities, as well as timely payments to suppliers. Additionally, the Finance Manager prepares balance sheet reconciliations to support the organization’s financial integrity and provide management with clear, actionable financial insights.
Duties and responsibilities
Ensure Compliance to Rules and Regulations
- Ensures compliance with all NagaWorld’s standards or relavant industry standards during all aspects of work
- Ensures all employees adherence to NagaWorld’s Code of Conduct, Internal Rules, and Regulations at all times
General Job Functions
- Prepares management reporting packs and supporting commentary on monthly and year-to-date variances
- Participates in the preparation of annual budgets and consolidation of unit accounts
- Reviews financial performance with operations and highlights areas of concern
- Assists in the preparation of five-year plans, financial simulations, and presentations
- Critically analyzes revenue projections, compares trends, and analyzes costs
- Prepares notes and schedules for incorporation in financial statements
- Liaises with internal and external auditors on all aspects of accounting
- Develops, reviews, and implements internal controls
- Monitors procurement activities, including purchasing, inventory, and spares for financial impact and control
- Prepares and presents analysis of sales, cost of goods sold, expenses, profits, and variances as part of the month-end process
- Ensures proper booking/accrual of expenses and liabilities, timely payments to suppliers, and timely management reports
- Any other tasks assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent education and professionally qualification (CA, ACCA, CPA)
- Strong finance background in a professional organization
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the hotel or casino industry
- Should possess strong inter-personal and communications skills
- Should possess a high degree of efficiency and integrity
- Ability to make decisions in accordance with responsibilities
- Must possess strong analytical skills to guide the management decision- making process
- The incumbent works with a high degree of independence in performing accounting and financial activities
- Maintain strict confidentiality due to sensitive nature of information handled
- Must be able to lead the team to achieve organizational objectives
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PPT, Word, and Outlook
- English Language proficiency
Working conditions
This position may require extended working hours and may include evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
