Job Purpose

The Head of Fire Safety oversees all strategic and operational fire safety management for the organization. This role ensures compliance with regulations, develops and implements fire safety policies, conducts risk assessments, and maintains effective emergency response plans.

The position also fosters a safety-focused culture and ensures robust fire prevention measures are in place to protect lives and assets.

Duties and Responsibilities

Ensure Compliance to Rules and Regulations

  • Ensures compliance with all NagaWorld’s standards or relevant industry standards during all aspects of work
  • Ensures adherence to NagaWorld’s Code of Conduct, Internal Rules, and Regulations at all times

General Job Functions

  • Develops and monitors strategic business plans, annual budgets, and cost management for Fire & Safety Operations
  • Recruits, trains, and manages staff to ensure optimal performance and alignment with organizational needs
  • Oversees Fire & Safety Operations, assigns responsibilities, resolves issues, and ensures efficient work methods
  • Conducts fire risk assessments, provides Firemax reports, and ensures compliance with fire safety policies and procedures
  • Manages training activities, including needs analysis, planning, and execution, to enhance fire safety preparedness
  • Leads fire prevention initiatives, safety education campaigns, and fire safety management with support from the team
  • Serves as Incident Controller/Commander during fire emergencies to safeguard life, property, and business continuity
  • Reviews fire protection system designs and equipment specifications to ensure compliance with NFPA standards
  • Maintains communication with internal departments, contractors, and local authorities to uphold fire safety standards
  • Any other tasks assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education required
  • Certified Safety Professional, Certified Fire Protection Specialist, Certified Fire Safety Management, OSHA certification, or equivalent qualification
  • Extensive knowledge of fire fighting equipment, engines, and life-saving equipment operations
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and remain on standby in a 24/7 environment
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as Head of Fire Safety or Head of Fire Station
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PPT, Word, and Outlook
  • English Language Proficiency

Working Conditions

This position may require extended working hours and may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
