Job purpose

The Poker Host assists with greeting poker guests, placing them on the waitlist, seating players, monitoring and completing table transfers, assist guests with purchasing chips, issue poker vouchers and assists the poker supervisor when necessary.

Duties and responsibilities

Ensure Compliance to Rules and Regulations

  • Ensures compliance with all NagaWorld’s standards or relevant industry standards during all aspects of work
  • Ensures adherence to NagaWorld’s Code of Conduct, Internal Rules, and Regulations at all times

General Job Functions

  • Greets patrons, provides carries our guest services duties ensuring high levels of customers service at all times
  • Acts as a Mandarin-English interpreter when required
  • Organizes seating of players, maintains the waiting list, and the table change list
  • Interacts with customers in a courteous, friendly manner. Looks into patron’s needs and renders, within his capacity, whatever assistance is required. Endeavors to be approachable at all time
  • Assists in keeping the Poker Tables/Room tidy, assists in seating players and running chips for players
  • Carries out job-related instructions from the Supervisor and higher authority
  • Monitors patrons play time
  • Issues Complimentary privileges within prescribed limits in accordance with the approved policies
  • Any other tasks assigned

Qualifications

  • High School Graduate or equivalent education required
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, including the ability to identify and appropriately respond to an array of problems
  • Demonstrated ability to assume responsibility, make effective decisions, and take appropriate initiative on the job
  • English and Mandarin Language proficiency

Working conditions

This position may require extended working hours and may include evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
