Job purpose

Oversee and coordinate all housekeeping services to ensure a high standard of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. Strive to exceed guest expectations while maintaining cost-effectiveness and operational efficiency.

Duties and responsibilities

Ensure Compliance to Rules and Regulations

  • Ensures compliance with all NagaWorld’s standards or relevant industry standards during all aspects of work
  • Ensures adherence to NagaWorld’s Code of Conduct, Internal Rules, and Regulations at all times

General Job Functions

  • Develops, updates, and monitors the strategic/business plan; ensures the development of the annual budget and cost management within the Housekeeping operation’s context
  • Ensures appropriate staffing levels consistent with needs and organizational resources, while recruiting, selecting, orienting, and developing staff to meet performance standards
  • Plans, organizes, directs, and coordinates the Housekeeping Operation’s work plan, assigns projects, reviews work methods, and evaluates procedures; holds meetings with staff to resolve issues
  • Oversees the efficiency and care of laundry, valet items, staff uniforms, and linen; ensures the lost and found standard operating procedure is followed
  • Implements a daily inspection program to ensure guest rooms and back-of-house areas are clean and properly stocked with necessary items and services
  • Implements the Preventive Maintenance Program and collaborates with Front Office and Engineering Managers to improve property and public areas
  • Reviews staff schedules daily to ensure sufficient coverage and conducts daily briefings with Supervisors and Shift Leaders
  • Responds promptly to guest requests, handles complaints, maintains high standards of hygiene and sanitation, reports any health or safety hazards to the Executive Housekeeper
  • Any other tasks assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education required
  • Minimum of 5 years of housekeeping supervisory experience in 5-star hotel operations
  • Strong communication, leadership, and proactive problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of the Opera system
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PPT, Word, and Outlook
  • English Language proficiency

Working conditions

This position may require extended working hours and may include evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
